David Daniels is a countertenor.
In 2023 David Daniels and his husband Scott Walters pled guilty to sexual assault charges in Houston, stemming from a 2010 drugging and rape. As part of the plea agreement, both men received eight years of deferred adjudication probation, thereby avoiding jail time. This resolution comes after the survivor publicly accused the couple in 2018, leading to their indictment. In 2025, Daniels sued University of Michigan, who terminated him in 2020 over separate allegations of sexual misconduct.
