Charles Dutoit is a conductor and plays piano.
In 2017 multiple people came forward with accounts of sexual assault by Dutoit, dating as far back as the 1980s. An investigation by Boston Symphony Orchestra found several of the claims credible. Eight symphonies severed ties with Dutoit. In 2024 he had an appearance at the Czech Philharmonic conducting pianist Daniil Trifonov and continues to work in Europe and Asia.
